Psalms 127:2

So you got handed the baby, then she took the baby back. You're out on the porch now, and they're in the living room. That's not rejection — that's a woman who knows what the morning needs and is handling it. You wanted ten minutes of family time, and you got it. Now she's doing her thing, you're doing yours, and the little one's got her toys.

Listen to what Psalm 127:2 says: "In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat — for he grants sleep to those he loves." The point isn't that you orchestrate the perfect moment. The point is that God's already given you the gift. You woke up in a bed with your wife and daughter. She teased you. Your child's safe and playing. That's the heritage right there — not some Instagram version of it, but the real, slightly chaotic, "here you keep the baby" version.
