Courage to Stand Firm When My Voice Is Dismissed

God who sees me, you know how raw I feel when my voice is dismissed and my limits are ignored. You witness the violation I name, the way my no is trampled underfoot. I come before you tender and weary from the weight of being misunderstood, from having to repeat myself, from the exhaustion of asserting what should already be clear.

Give me the courage to stand firm in the boundary I have set. When I am told I am wrong, when my limits are questioned or pushed against, strengthen my resolve to hold what is true for me. Do not let me collapse under the pressure to recant or soften what I have already named.

Yet grant me wisdom to respond without hardening my heart. I do not want bitterness to take root in me. I do not want to become cold or closed off in my attempt to protect myself. Help me find the narrow way between firmness and openness, between guarding myself and remaining human.

Teach me to know what is mine to guard and what belongs to you. Show me the difference between the boundaries I must hold and the outcomes I must release. I cannot control whether others honor my voice or respect my limits, but I can tend to what is within my power. Help me do that with clarity and grace.

Let me rest in the knowledge that you honor my voice even when others refuse to. You see me. You hear me. You witness both my no and the cost of speaking it. When I am dismissed by those around me, let me remember that I am known and valued in your sight. That is enough. That is everything.
